The Dancing With the Stars results show tonight has been a little bit stressful, especially since there was a double elimination, and two couples are out of the competition for good. Is it me, or does it seem like it was just a little bit early to let two of these amazing couples go at once? They all have proven to have a great deal of talent, and each one of them deserves to be there.
And honestly, aside from the whole dancing thing, I'm kind of getting sad already about seeing Maria Menounos & Derek Hough part ways when this season is over. I don't care if she has a boyfriend or not -- she and Derek are totally into each other. I can't say for sure whether their relationship has crossed the line yet, but they've definitely both thought about it at the very least. And after the low scores they got for their Bollywood trio last night, I really feared they might be in jeopardy this week.
Heck, even judge Len Goodman said he felt terrible about giving them such a low score after their performance last night. And if they'd actually gone home before the semi-finals, it would've been such a shame. They are such a talented duo, and I can't help but think they need a little more time to explore this possible love connection between them. (Don't act like you don't see it -- because it's SO there.)
More from The Stir: What Was William Levy DOING With Cheryl Burke?
But two couples had to be eliminated tonight, and I have to admit I started having heart palpitations when William Levy was up against Roshon Fegan as the first potential contestant to be eliminated. (How did elimination and William wind up in the same sentence?!)
Relax kids, we'll get to see William Levy in the semi-finals, as this was the end of the road for Roshon and Chelsea. (Was there ever any doubt? Who in their right mind would vote for Roshon instead of William?) Levy-crazed fans like myself would've completely flown off the handle had he gone home this week. OMG. I don't even want to consider that option.
Melissa Gilbert and Katherine Jenkins also ended up at the bottom of the group -- and sadly, tonight was the end of the road for Melissa & Maks, which sort of made me want to cry a little bit. I've been a huge fan of theirs this season, and I honestly hate to see Melissa go. And what the heck was up with her being eliminated on her birthday?! (Little House on the Prairie forever, baby.)
It's really getting down to the wire on DWTS. Who do you think will wind up in the finals?
