This may sound like a stupid question, but are you a Twilight Saga fan? (Duh, of course you are.) And what about Hunger Games? Have you gone completely crazy for that series of books, and now the movie too? I'm not gonna lie, I'm all about Twilight and basically anything involving Robert Pattinson, for that matter. But Hunger Games? Yeah, I just can't get on board with it.
I haven't read the books, and even though I'm probably one of the only people in America who will admit it, I have no desire to see the film either. The whole concept of the story just seems so far-fetched and ridiculous to me. What can I say? I like a solid, believable storyline involving things like werewolves and vampires.
But even though I didn't rush to the theater to see Hunger Games this time around, I might be standing in line for a ticket to the sequel, now that Robert Pattinson is rumored to have been cast in the role of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire.
OMG. How amazing would that be?! So far nothing has been confirmed or set in stone, but there is speculation that Rob may be a part of the movie since he has ties with the new director, Francis Lawrence.

Um -- hello? Can you say genius casting move? What better way to bring Twi-hards and Hunger Games fans together than to cast everyone's favorite vampire as tribute in this next film? There are plenty of people who are pretty loyal to one series or the other, so putting Rob in the middle is the perfect way to merge the fan base into one big, happy family. Seriously, how many RPatz fans do you know who wouldn't be open to seeing him show off his fighting skills in Hunger Games? Edward Cullen totally needs to try his hand at using a bow and arrow instead of his teeth. I'll go for it -- how about you?
Do you think Robert Pattinson is a good fit for the Hunger Games sequel? And if not, who would you cast to play Finnick Odair?

Did you know that studies have been done that show the Twilight series is UNHEALTHY for teen girls, because it shows them that real love is being co-dependant on your man, and the way "Edward" basically stalks "Bella" teaches these impressionable girls that stalking shows love? Btw, that kind of "love" increases suicide rate.
Bella and Edward both talked about wanting to die without the other, and Edward tried it. Pathetic.
Only a girl with low self esteem would want these books to be her love life, and only a VERY sad adult woman would be spouting the praises of a series written by a teen, for a teen, and having some crazy love for teenage drama.
It sickens me.
Had a let my impressionable child read those books, without reading them first, maybe he would grow up thinking that this is how teenagers show love.
It is the job of parents to keep up on trends, social media, movies, fashion, etc, so that they know what their children are faced with every day. Even if it means reading those god-awful books.
It's my JOB as a mother to see this dribble day to day.
Idk if you're a man/woman or how old you are. But I must say that you do NOT sound like you have ever had children.
Maybe when you have children of an age to be effected by social media, you will look deeper into more books and movies, and see how they could effect your child's thinking.
I do not personally let my kids do the "trendy" things, or idolize celebs. But some of their friends will. And I need to be prepared to explain to my children how these people/books/movies are not within the realm of reality *vampires aside, of course*
Oh, romeo & juliet, my children will also be told is unhealthy thinking by very troubled individuals.
If you think either story is real love, you need help.
I love Twilight, and I love the hungery games, but for the love of all that is good, DO NOT CAST HIM! he doesn't fit the part, his acting style is all wrong for the part.
sigh*
