melissa gilbert maksim chmerkovskiyIt's been so much fun to watch Melissa Gilbert dance this season on Dancing With the Stars, but what is up with her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy? Sure -- he's great at what he does and he's pretty hot and all that, but he also seems to have developed a bit of a whining problem.

He's been making excuses for why he and Melissa haven't landed at the top of the leader board, and he's under the impression that it's because the judges simply don't like him or care for his style of dance. Huh. Couldn't his low scores possibly be because he and Melissa aren't the best team? Because like it or not, there are a few duos this time around who have better moves in the ballroom.

But the judges not being fond of him aren't the only excuse Maks has offered up for his less than stellar scores this season. He recently blamed his faulty ankle for causing a few missteps in his footwork. And remember when Melissa hit her head during their paso doble a few weeks ago and wound up with whiplash and a concussion? Yeah, Maks's ego seemed to be bruised way worse than she was.

Aww -- poor Maks. He's like the little kid at school who got picked last to play on the dodge ball team at recess. He's really turning out to be quite the drama queen, and it's kind of annoying. Maybe if he channeled more energy into his dances instead of complaining and whining, he'd come out on top for a change.
