Last night was the White House Correspondents Dinner, and much to the chagrin of many, Kim Kardashian was an invited guest. With momager Kris Jenner by her side, Kim looked radiant, classy, and took in stride the many barbs thrown her way from everyone from Jimmy Kimmel to President Obama himself.
Unlike Lindsay Lohan who showed side boob and a lot of cleavage, Kim kept things elegant and covered up in a classic, green velvet gown. There was a hint of bling at her waist and shoulders, which was gorgeous with her simple up-do. So she was definitely ready for the spotlight that shifted her way as the good-natured slams started coming at her.
Host Jimmy Kimmel, referencing the hunt for Osama bin Laden that was underway last year, said, "If you're looking for the greatest threat to America right now, she's right there. She's Kim Kardashian." Then he continued:
When you took office, the Kardashians had one reality show. Now they have four. This is not a good trend.
Then it was time for the POTUS to take his turn at Kardashian bashing:
Seriously, guys, what am I doing here? I'm the President of the United States, and I'm opening for Jimmy Kimmel? Why am I telling knock-knock jokes to Kim Kardashian? What is she famous for, anyway?
For her part, Kim seemed to take it all in stride. On Twitter she posted a series of pictures from the night, and even a picture of Obama with a tweet that read: "Pretty funny speech I must admit." She also tweeted her thanks to Fox and Greta Van Susteren for inviting her.

Finally, not one to let an opportunity to plug herself or her ambitions pass, she also teased reporters about her desire to run for mayor of Glendale, Calif. She sounds pretty serious to me.
All in all, I'd say Kim held her own pretty well in Washington. Who knows how far her political career could go.

What is wrong with our cuture today? Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan at the White House Correspondence dinner? Are we really trying to make America a total joke?
I am SO glad I'm not the only one going WHAT THE HELL!! LL is a DRUG addict who if ANY other person had done her crimes, we'd still be locked up. KK has come from a sex tape, rode the coat tails of Paris Hilton until her time was up, and has stepped into the spot light. She has no college degree, runs a store of clothes that she DIDN'T design (they steal ideas from other designers), and has every private moment of her life displayed on camera....then cries for privacy. Why...Why WHY were they at the White House?!
No it is not appropriate, same with Lindsay Lohan. This is disgusting, what is our country turning into?? No wonder children in this country have the wrong role models and the wrong priorities; so does our government.
