Things are really starting to get down to the wire on Dancing With the Stars now that the competition has evened itself out a bit. The majority of the cast members left on the show definitely deserve to be there -- including Melissa Gilbert, who is really starting to come out of her shell.
She's getting more and more comfortable on the ballroom floor each week, and she's also developing a pretty close bond with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. I know, I know, they are just friends and there's nothing going on between them, even though Melissa did joke about how many body fluids they've exchanged recently. (Gross!) But judging from their interaction on the show tonight, it's pretty obvious that Melissa is lying to herself about the nature of their relationship.
Oh, c'mon don't act like you didn't notice it. Melissa totally has a cougar crush on Maks! Did you see the way the two of them were all cuddled up & swaying back and forth together when it was announced that they were in jeopardy at the beginning of the night? They seemed much more "connected" than some of the other duos. And did you catch the clip of their dance from Monday night -- and how Maks said, "I love you" to Melissa when it was over? Yeah -- he's digging the extra attention alright. In fact, he seems to be encouraging it.
Luckily for Maks and Melissa, they'll have at least one more week to continue their "strictly platonic" relationship. They were saved by voters from landing in the bottom two, along with Derek Hough & Maria Menounos.
Not surprisingly, Roshon & Chelsea and Gladys & Tristan faced off in the dance duel at the end of the show. Out of all of the remaining couples, they are definitely the two who should've landed at the bottom this week. And while the judges were very gracious to both couples, the deciding swing vote came down to Bruno Tonioli, who opted to save Roshon Fegan, which ended Gladys Knight's DWTS journey. It was kind of sad to see her go, but let's be honest -- her exit was a bit overdue.
Take a look at video clip below to see a replay of Maks & Melissa's viennese waltz. Do they seem kind of flirty to you?
Who do you think should've gone home tonight?

Noooo! To eliminate Gladys on Motown week is just plain wrong... maybe last week or next. She is a class act, as grateful and gracious as any of her competitors can ever hope to be. Thank you, Gladys for the memories and your light!
I have to say too that I really don't like the ramping up of the NC-17 ballroom moves this season, tasteless and not sexy.
Honestly, I didnt see too much flirtation on Melissa's part but Maks kissing her shoulder, whoa!I wouda melted into the ground if thatwas me.Melissa is amazing and still has it going on.I hope she wins this,Ive been a lifelong fan.and for what its worth,Im the same age as her and hate the cougar referance. It's not like she's 65,I mean come on, she's hot!!!
Honestly, I don't think there's more flirtation going on here than we've seen with some other "couples" on the show.
I too am tired of all the gossip and guessing. Believe it or not, people can be friends and even have crushes! But I doubt for many it goes beyond that. Just enjoy the dancing and leave the rest of the speculation out of it! And Gladys, I loved your dancing and was truly sorry to see you go! You shined like the star you are Monday.
