At least I can say this for Sheree Whitfield -- she knows when she's not wanted anymore. Today she announced that she's quitting The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which is certainly not unwelcome news. In fact, the only negative is that it took this long.
The reason she gave for leaving is laughable, and it's questionable if she actually quit or got fired, but we'll get to that later. She -- the queen of throwing people under the bus and starting sh*t with everyone --told Wetpaint that she's tired of all of the drama between the ladies. With her typical mightier-than-thou attitude, she told the site:
The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I'm tired of the fighting and the cattiness. I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect. I wish the rest of the women the best of luck.
She's so full of it ... and full of herself. She's never really added much to the show except her incessant whining and seriously inflated ego. She's pretty much the only one out of the bunch that hasn't been able to branch out into other businesses (the ridiculous She by Sheree line aside) because the fact is -- she's just unlikable, and she's boring to boot. It's hard to be both simultaneously, but somehow she is.

It seems even Bravo didn't like her, as RadarOnline is reporting that her whole I quit bit is really a front for the fact that she was canned. A source told the site:
Sheree was fired. She was demanding more money and that didn't go over well with show executives. They are tired of dealing with her diva attitude and demands.
Now that, I can believe. I'm sure she was furious when she saw that she's paid significantly less than most of her cast mates, and how ever will she finish (or start) Chateau Sheree with a puny salary like that? I think her statement was a big attempt to save face and some dignity, but sadly for her, there's really nothing there to save.
In the end, I suppose it doesn't matter so much if she was fired or if she quit, because the fantastic fact remains -- she's not coming back. Ta ta, Sheree. I think you've been checked, boo.
Are you sad to see Sheree Whitfield leave The Real Housewives of Atlanta? Do you think she quit or was fired?

I would have rather seen Nene or Cynthia and Margo go. They are more drama than Sheree has ever been. Boo Bravo. Bad choice of who to fire
