Jessica SanchezAmerica, were you drunk or something last night? And if you were, can you pass whatever you were drinking this way? You voted Jessica Sanchez off of American Idol? What the what! What is wrong with you, people? Jessica Sanchez could (should?) win the whole kit and caboodle and you go and try to get rid of her? That's nonsense, I say. Nonsense!
Thank God the judges were smart enough to use their one and only season save on her. (See, JLo? Aren't you glad you waited?) This is why they were created -- to save people like Sanchez from going home. I so didn't want her to be the season shocker this year.
Anyway, in the case that there's any doubt that Sanchez shouldn't be sticking around, let's watch a couple videos of the little girl with the big voice -- you know, for research.
Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You"
Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know"
Billy Joel's "Everybody Has a Dream"
Aretha Franklin's "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)"
Gloria Estefan's "Turn the Beat Around"
And here's a video of Jessica talking about her scary almost-elimination ...
Do you think Jessica should have been cut, or were the judges right to use their season save on her?

She can sing....BUT I just don't think there is anything special about this girl. She has no stage presence and I don't think she will be marketable if she wins AI.
@Anthony, Scotty McCreery has most DEFINITELY "made it big" also! His debut album went platinum and he won Artist of the Year at the country music awards last year.
But anyway, yeah it's about who's interesting and fun to watch. Actual talent obviously plays an important role, but you have to have personality to win this competition. As shocked as I was to see her voted off so early, she has absolutely no chance of winning so it wasn't THAT surprising. She'll definitely have a future as a singer, but not as a pop icon.
