'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Recap: Burying a Hatchet & Dead People

Cynthia Bailey and Kim ZolciakThe good news from tonight’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is that I think maybe we might finally be able to move on from the whole holding a black baby at an orphanage ordeal. Kim Zolciak and Cynthia Bailey sat down for lunch; Cynthia apologized and said she doesn’t think Kim’s a racist. They hugged and may even go on a blind date. It only took the whole season to get there.

The rest of the episode was even more bland, and I can’t imagine the finale next week is going to be much better. Everyone is pretty much moving on and doing their own things, which means the drama has dropped off drastically. Honestly, the most exciting part of tonight's episode was watching Cynthia's hair change from scene to scene.

NeNe Leakes was off to Los Angeles with stars and a future Oscar in her eyes. She was pondering a move to Tinseltown and just so happened to get random drop-in advice from the likes of Steve Harvey and Keisha Knight Pulliam at a bar. It was weird, random, and fake, which I guess is par for the course in Hollywood.

Kandi Burruss was working on her sex toys, including the lipstick-inspired “clit stick” vibrator and one that keeps time to the music. Cynthia was working on a model search; and Kim got engaged, but we didn’t even get to see the proposal -- probably because they’re keeping that for her spinoff show.

Phaedra Parks was all about the funeral business these days and announced that she is going into business with a prominent Atlanta funeral director, whose name she drops every chance she gets. She also invited all of the ladies -- talls and smalls -- to an event honoring him. It was excruciatingly long and boring and bizarre that they should even have been there. “What a waste of an outfit and a wig,” Cynthia said.

There was also no drama, and it’s a little late in the game for there to be much next week either. I’ve got to say that for a group of Housewives that has traditionally brought it like no others, this season from Atlanta has been seriously lacking. Besides the aforementioned black baby brouhaha, they just haven’t given us much at all. Whatever will they fight about on the couches when they all gather for the reunion?

Do you think this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been boring? Do you think NeNe Leakes will make it in Hollywood?

There was a lot of drama between Marlow and Sheree and that was enough for me!  Their gibberish was TOO much in fact.  I heard that that black baby issue is huge on the reunion show - UGhhhhhh so sick of hearing about it now.....

What's happening on the Atlanta show will eventually happen on all of the housewives shows because THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME PLOT.
