I kind of feel like a traitor to Twilight admitting this, but the first trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman made me think Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen was totally going to eclipse (ha!) Kristen Stewart as Snow White. Nothing against Stewart, it just seemed like the movie was going to end up being more about Theron's character and her pathological inability to age gracefully.
But now that there's an extended Snow White and the Huntsman trailer out -- plus five minutes of "first look" footage -- it's plain to see: I was wrong. This is Kristen Stewart's movie.
Sure, the Evil Queen is fabulously creepy and over-the-top Theron's performance is highly watchable. But the Evil Queen is a one-trick pony. All evil, all the time. Whereas Snow White (in a radical and welcome departure from the lobotomized Disney cartoon) has depth. Layers. In the more recently released scenes, we see Kristen Stewart as a Snow White who's tough one moment and vulnerable the next. Innocent, but jaded. Brave, yet ... timid ... okay, I'm running out of opposites.
You get the idea, though. Just watch:
See what I mean? It looks amazing either way, of course. But if Kristen Stewart really does manage to redefine Snow White as an ass-kicking, appropriately complex human being? Generations of women would be grateful.
Who do you think will be the bigger star in this movie: Kristen Stewart or Charlize Theron?

Kristen Stewart, hands down. This movie looks amazing. And Hemsworth is totally hot.
Will she have more than one facial expression in this movie?
from what Rupert Sanders says, the Evil Queen will be multilayered and vulnerable.
