Well, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later, and now it looks as though LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville have buried the hatchet once and for all and are on the path to becoming -- wait for it -- friends. Who'da guessed that one? (Certainly not Eddie Cibrian, that's for sure).
It's not clear what exactly prompted them to truly end their feud by being seen together in public, but after a couple years of whining, fighting, and saying all sorts of crazy stuff about each other on Twitter, the current Mrs. Cibrian plopped right down next to the former Mrs. Cibrian to cheer on Jake, Brandi & Eddie's son, at his soccer game. Aww -- don't they look all chummy and sweet together? What's next -- lunch dates and trips to the spa?
It's all well and good that Brandi and LeAnn are trying to get along for the sake of the kids, which is what is most likely going on between these two. I highly doubt that they will become BFFs anytime soon, but then again, stranger things have happened. After all, they do have a lot in common, right?
For Eddie's sake, let's hope not. Because these two getting any closer than they were while sitting on that blanket on the soccer field would be his absolute worst nightmare. Can you even imagine the possible awkward conversations that would go down between him and LeAnn if she and Brandi do wind up being buds? I can just picture Eddie walking in the house and asking LeAnn how her day went, only to cringe as she described the amazing bonding session that she had with Brandi as they enjoyed a glass of wine after getting bikini waxes together.
And then she'd probably go into some rant about how she and Brandi were going to start planning family dinners and holiday gatherings together from there on out. I'm uncomfortable for Eddie just thinking about it. Having your spouse be good friends with your ex isn't exactly the most appealing situation, especially when you are a celebrity. And for women like Brandi and LeAnn who don't exactly have the best history, there is the potential for even more unnecessary drama. Eddie had better hope that they never get past the point of being acquaintances, otherwise he may get more baggage in his marriage than he initially bargained for. Of course, having cameras document LeAnn and Brandi's blossoming friendship would make for a great reality TV show.
Do you think that LeAnn and Brandi are truly done arguing for good?
