Wow. Adele has got it goin' ON! At least that was my reaction after watching the 23-year-old sing her Song of the Year "Rolling in the Deep" at last night's 54th Grammy Awards. After a lengthy hiatus because of vocal cord microsurgery, the world watched in amazement as the singer took home all six Grammys she was nominated for, including Album of the Year for 21 and Record of the Year for "Rolling in the Deep."
You know what I say? Power to her. There's no arguing that a big part of last night's show was paying tribute to Whitney Houston. However, last night was Adele's night. My favorite part? With Adele, everything you see is what you get, and we love her anyway. She's a woman who swears like a sailor, can't stop writing about uber depressing episodes of heartbreak, and sings like an angel. If you ask me, Adele is one of the most real artists in music today, and THAT'S why her 2012 Grammy performance was the best of the night.
Watch it, here:
It seems like absolutely not a thing has changed with Adele's voice, and she's genuinely beside herself to be singing in front of such an outstanding audience of talent. Man, do they love it -- too! Talk about a standing ovation!

Aside from being one real chick, Adele shows the world that you really don't need all the crazy bells and whistles a la Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry's performances from last night to be a showstopper. All a good artist needs is pipes. Well that, and a great record. Seems to me that, contrary to her hit song, Adele's finally realizing she doesn't need a man to really have it all.
What did you think of Adele's performance? What was your favorite thing about last night's Grammy Awards?

LOVE her. She definitely deserved to win all 6.
She isn't my favorite.
I thought it was very nice and she looked beautiful!
Adele is AH-MAZING! I really wish I had seen that when I was channel surfing instead of Nikki Minaj's ridiculous mass of cliched blasphemy. I might have stopped and watched then.
She sounds like Amy Winehouse to me, and that's not a good thing. I dont see all the hype over her.
I hate country. Didn't watch
It's so refreshing to see an artist just sing their songs... actually sing. Without theatrics. Or lip syncing.
This is a true performace by a true artist and others would do well to take note.
Agreed, manderspanders. The theatrics and obnoxious grab for attention that Gaga, Kay Perry, Nicki Manaj all do just makes me not want to pay attention to them. Do we really have to watch every single singer rehash Madonna's narcissism? It's getting old and overused.
Adelle is gorgeous, not covered in tattoos or weird clothing, doesn't overdose every other week and has the most amazing voice. LOVE her.
I love her. I thought she did a great job last night. I didn't watch the whole show last night, so there is no favorite part for me. :)
