I'm pretty much an equal-opportunity supernatural creature fan myself, but I'll say this much: Marni almost put me over the edge.

Anyway, sounds like True Blood Season 5 is going to be one for the real fangbangers!

And we have that on the authority of none other than everybody's favorite fang-o-phobe preacher-turned-vicious baby vamp Steve Newlin! (Or more accurately, the guy who plays him: Actor Michael McMillian.)

His Season 5 spoiler?

The whole season so far has been great. It’s very vampire-centered. There are other mythological creatures, but I feel like it’s in very strong shape. I’m really excited about where the story line’s going this season ... I think Season 5 is going to start paying off promises of the first four seasons.

Woo-hoo! Now that's the best news we've heard since Eric got his memory back. Of course we know there'll be at least one prominent non-vamp character this season -- Quinn, the weretiger -- but between the arrival of The Authority and all the vamp vs. vamp battles that will surely follow, I think it's safe to say we won't have to welcome an entirely new species into the mix. Not sure what's left, anyway ... gnomes? Unicorns? Maybe a few stray zombies from The Walking Dead could stop by?

Who am I kidding ... as long as Season 5 doesn't skimp on Alexander Skarsgard, I won't be complaining. Seriously. Bring on the gnomes!
