heidi klum and seal Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' break-up? Duh. Katy Perry and Russell Brand's bust? Saw it coming from miles away. But Heidi Klum and Seal?!!! Who saw this divorce coming? Yes, it's true, says TMZ: The model and Project Runway host and her singer hubby, who married May 10, 2005 at Seal's beachfront home in Mexico, are reportedly calling it quits! Sources with direct knowledge say Heidi will file divorce papers in L.A. County Superior Court as early as next week. Apparently, she will cite the ever popular "irreconcilable differences" as the reason the marriage is OVER.

UGH! What the heck?! This disheartening news actually strikes as more shocking than almost any recent Hollywood breakup.

The biggest clue we could have had to see this coming was Heidi showing up sans Seal to the Golden Globes, but other than that, all we've ever heard about the couple is how they were incredibly, ridiculously, gloriously happy. Remember how Heidi basically described meeting Seal as love at first sight? This is a couple who renewed their vows every year on their anniversary! Even as recently as last spring they went to Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach to keep the tradition.

It's also surprising, because Heidi and Seal seemed to keep a relatively low profile with their relationship ... which you would think would serve to help keep the relationship healthy and happy, right?

Not only does this split come as such a shock, but it's also kind of tragic. Think about the kids, oh, the kids! Ack. Other recent bust-ups thankfully haven't involved children, but Heidi and Seal have had three children together, and Seal even adopted Heidi's eldest daughter from a prior relationship. I'm sure this divorce couldn't possibly easy on these poor kiddos.

Plus, if these two -- who seemed to have such a blissful, supposedly perfect love -- can't make it work, can anyone in showbiz?! Or is it just proof that celebrity marriages are rarely ever what they seem? Who knows, but one thing's for sure: This is one Hollywood divorce story that will make many of us genuinely sad.
