Since the start of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season, I haven't been able to pinpoint my feelings on Brandi Glanville. Each episode, my thoughts on her vacillate wildly. Very first impression, I wasn't a fan. Maybe it was my spidey senses tingling that there was something "off" about her, or maybe I was just jealous of her ridiculous body. But then, when the rest of the cast reverted to high school mean girls, laughing and whispering about her -- in front of her -- I felt bad for her. And that sort of trumped my initial bad vibes toward her.
I now know that it's all relative. Not excusing the ladies' rude obnoxious behavior, but Brandi is kind of a yahoo. And not just because of the way she acted in last night's episode. Because the former Mrs. Eddie Cibrian had a drunken marriage in Vegas this past weekend -- and, to add insult to injury, followed it up with a barrage of idiotic tweets.
Stay classy, San Diego.
According to US Weekly, the 38-year-old reality star wed mixed martial arts manager (and bestie) Darin Harvey in a shotgun wedding on Saturday. Her tweet announcing the nuptials read: "I'm married again -- suuuuuuck it!" Other heart-warming tweets that followed were: "Honeymoons with strippers are the best!"; "I'm an official housewife, for reals... again."; and "After some beer and strippers he is now my husband. No joke!" A tweet from Darin on Sunday morning read: "I had a crazy Vegas moment. Getting annulled tomorrow."
Look, drunken marriages happen to the best of us. It really is NBD in my opinion. Like, Britney's -- whatevs, right? But I do think the game changes a teeny bit when you're almost 40 and you've got two children.
Part of the reason I think the ladies of the RHOBH dislike Brandi is because they're jealous. She's tall, skinny, single, and, let's get real, the woman exudes a slightly "dirty" vibe. But I think the other part of them dislikes her because she can be a bit uncouth and immature. She's not a "proper" woman of Beverly Hills -- not that that's something to aspire to be. And a drunken wedding in Vegas certainly isn't "proper."
I have a feeling Brandi really doesn't give an eff, though. I think she's going to do what she wants to do when she wants to do it. And I'll admit, there's something about that kind of attitude that's slightly admirable.
But it is terribly uncouth.
