On New Year's Eve, Twitter blew up over Beyonce's confirmed "appearance" and rumored "performance" on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. Tons of too-drunk-for-their-own-good folks stayed up past 12 p.m., awaiting a much-anticipated peek at Beyonce after a week of baby rumors (would she still be pregnant OR announce the baby's arrival?).
Much to their (and my) dismay, the NYE special offered no Beyonce "midnight surprise." In fact, they played an OLD "I Was Here" performance -- pre-recorded before Beyonce's pregnancy!!! -- which Ryan Seacrest lamely disclaimed with, "Beyoncé couldn't be here tonight because she's about to give birth to her first child."
Um, duh, so why book her or promote her appearance hours before showtime? What the hell, Seacrest? What a dirty trick -- especially now that we KNOW Beyonce wasn't even in the hospital on NYE. Nope, no Braxton Hicks excuses or anything. Check it out.
According to reports from Food Republic, a very pregnant Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z spent New Year's Eve at one of New York's hottest restaurants -- the Buttermilk Channel in Brooklyn. So they were eating? In a restaurant? While Beyonce's fans were held hostage, waiting (and drunk tweeting) on bated breath to see her TV? Wow, I have a serious bone to pick with Ryan Seacrest and friends. We were totally duped. They totally took advantage of our already-vulnerable, rumor-confused hearts and played us like a bunch of fiddles on New Year's Eve. And they also cost some people (me) a good hour of sleep with that malarkey! Bogus!
Anyway, so I guess I'm only here today to say that whole New Year's Rockin' Eve ploy delivered by Ryan Seacrest sucked and to officially confirm one thing -- Beyonce and Jay-Z really are having a baby. I just have no frickin' idea when. And maybe when they do get around to it, I'll be out ... to ... some fance dinner ... so there!
Did you feel duped by Ryan Seacrest's New Year's Eve rumor mongering? Or are rumor mill followers like me just getting what they deserve when they buy into such hooplah?

Honestly, I couldn't care less. Why are we so obsessed with people like this?
You get what you buy into.
I think you get what you buy into. Even though I am happy for Jay-Z and Beyonce, when the baby gets here, the baby gets here. Personally I'm more invested in when my baby is coming.
I couldnt give a shit less. Who the hell cares about her? I mean really, why are people so infatuated with people they dont even know?!
