Selena Gomez's Mom's Miscarriage Makes Justin Bieber Emotional (VIDEO)

justin bieber crying in carVery sad news coming out of Hollywood -- Selena Gomez's mother Mandy, just 35-years-old, suffered a miscarriage. The baby, a little girl whose name was Scarlett, would have been the first child for Mandy and her husband Brian Teefey, Selena's stepfather. My heart breaks for the family -- there was a beautiful pregnancy photo of Brian holding Mandy's belly, and I suspect she was around 16 weeks along. Experiencing a loss like this is devastating, and having it happen around the holidays along with being in the public eye can make it even harder.

But Selena has showed so much grace for a 19-year-old in the public eye -- she gets so much attention because she is dating Justin Bieber. I find it refreshing that they act like typical teens ... if you consider typical teens the kind that really support each other and really care. Selena had to cancel some shows and rushed to be with her mom. Bieber was spotted very upset outside the hospital.

I can't help but feel a bit sad watching this because the paparazzi were shouting at him, and there is a part of me that wants to be like a Mama Bear and protect the Biebs. But I love how Bieber is supporting Gomez and her family at a time like this. He had to leave Toronto and flew in to show support for his girlfriend's mom. He is really showing how much he loves his girl and her family. Very mature for a young man.

You can feel the pain Selena is experiencing when she wrote on her Facebook page:

Belated Merry Christmas everybody.. I can’t thank you enough for all of your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate every one of you.. I love you all so much and we hope you and your family had a beautiful Christmas!
Me, Momma, Brian and our guardian angel Scarlett.
God bless

I think we can all see how mature and seemingly unfazed by stardom that both Selena and Justin are. I wish healing to them, her mother and stepdad.

Are you impressed with the maturity Selena and Justin show, too?
