Rob Kardashian is getting ambitious, people. First he put down the video game controller and junk food long enough to do a respectable job on Dancing With the Stars, and now he's launching his own business.
He's not just moving to Dallas to mooch off of Khloe and Lamar anymore, no sir. He has important deals a brewin'. Namely, socks. That's right, the sole Kardashian son is launching something to outfit the soles of feet -- a men's dress sock line, just socks. How ... interesting.
He explained his passion for fancy foot fashion to the Huffington Post:
I feel like everybody likes a dress sock. No one wants to see a boring tube sock. I am very passionate about it and I think guys and girls agree with me. Plus you can give your dress socks to your girlfriend when she sleeps over.
I've borrowed a lot of things from guys, but socks isn't really one of them. Maybe I'm missing out. Anyway, we'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one, because really anything with the Kardashian name on it is pretty much golden. Only Rob doesn't want to use the Kardashian name.
I don't care about the Kardashian brand at all. This is something I have been wanting to do. I don’t care for it to be a 'Kardashian' thing.
Seems to me like that's just shooting himself in the foot. But I guess at least he'll have some sweet socks to cover up the hole. I understand wanting to do things on his own, but c'mon, when something's working, why not jump on that that extremely lucrative wagon?
I would love to see Rob succeed at this or anything really. Socks just seem like a strange first step, and hopefully his revenues won't stink as much as the product inevitably will.
Do you think Rob Kardashian's sock line will be successful or will it end up stinking?
