It's time for Lamar Odom to officially start packing away a few dollars. The LA Lakers "star" (yes, I use that term loosely) and husband to one Khloe Kardashian has officially been traded to the Dallas Mavericks. And he had better hope that his wife will handle leaving Los Angeles.
Will the Texas attitude that everything's bigger be kind to her ample behind? If not, Odom's trade news puts a serious kink in keeping up his end of the bargain on that pre-nup signed back before the lavish Kardashian-style wedding in 2009.
It's been awhile, so let me give you a little refresher. At the time, the Kardashian Klan demanded that if things went south in the marriage, Khloe would get $500,000 for every year they were married, $25,000 a month in general support, their house, a new luxury vehicle at the end of every lease cycle, $5,000 a month for shopping, $1,000 for beauty care, and courtside Lakers tickets for everyone in her family.
It looks like Lamar will continue to command his $8.9 million salary, so he can handle most of that if he's stashed some cash. But it's that last little bit that concerns me. If he's not on the team, he's got to scramble for those tickets with the rest of us working stiffs who don't have an "in." And he's got to go up against some pretty heavy hitters: Jack Nicholson, Dyan Cannon aren't likely to ever budge from their famous spots near the hardwood. And then there's everyone from Dustin Hoffman to Adam Levine of Maroon 5 to fight for seats. Without Kardashian backing, here's betting Lamar would have it tough!
Then again, I like Khloe. She seems to be the nicest of the sisters. That means she really seems to dig her husband, for one, but I also see her being the forgiving type if they just can't make it work. And right now she's staying pretty darn positive. After trade rumors started earlier this week, she promised to follow him wherever he went. And here's what she had to say on that famous Twitter account (while Odom's has remained oddly quiet):
@Bgmegaman2001 we are all sad but positive energy gets you farther then negative.
@TheLovelyKhloe I have no doubt about it! I am excited :) I know this is for a reason
And who knows! This could spin into a whole new reality series for the fam. If Kim hooks back up with former beau and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin, we could have a whole "The Kardashians Do Dallas" special.
Do you see Khloe fitting in in Texas?

Sure, Khloe will fit into Dallas like a square peg fits into a round hole
I wish them the best. I pray that their marriage survives the move. And, I hope Lamar's career thrives at the Mavericks.
