Now that Breaking Dawn: Part 1 has come and reviews are out, I'm highly anticipating Kristen Stewart in her next big role as Snow White in Snow White and the Huntsman, which comes out next summer. Seriously, have you seen the amazing trailer? The revamped Snow White is such a different, fun role for the 21-year-old actress -- one that she's 100 percent fit to play.
Charlize Theron, who plays the evil Queen Ravenna in the film, recently said she's looking forward to working with Kristen on the set. Of course, she also mentioned she's hoping to take Snow White out in the process: "I haven't really worked with [Kristen]," Theron said. "I've done small things with her, but we're about to shoot our big showdown, and fingers crossed for me. It's the big battle. I'm just really, really, really hoping I get to kill her."
That's hilarious, Charlize. Of course, everyone knows that you can't kill off Snow White.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which was adapted from the Brothers Grimm fairytale, became an all-time Disney classic. Growing up, the movie was my everything. Being a brunette myself, Snow White has always been one of my top three fave princesses (next to Jasmine and Belle, who came later). How would I, and loads of other women like myself who fell for that Disney magic, feel if moviemakers suddenly started killing off Snow White? It would ruin everything! Snow White prevails in the end! The end.
I'm sure Charlize Theron would much rather see the Queen prevail in the newest version, you know, since SHE'S playing the Queen. However, the idea of killing off Snow White now is just too tragic for words. I mean, if any Snow White was going to end up dead, it should have been the syrupy-sweet original. You know, the happy, singing cartoon Snow White who gets rescued and romanced by the super handsome prince? Not the tough armor-clad Snow White that Kristen Stewart is bringing to the big screen. If this Snow White doesn't prevail, then no Snow White ever should have.
