Justin Bieber seemed so young and sweet and innocent on the Today show this morning, didn't he? With all the screaming little girls in the background and Matt Lauer acting all paternal and encouraging, I really wanted to believe The Biebs was telling the truth when he said he "never met the woman ... it's crazy."
Alas, even with his (publicist's) carefully chosen words, it was a tough sell. Why? Because Bieber's body language seemed to give him away.
According to most experts on deception, a person who's not telling you the truth will exhibit certain physical signs (and they're a lot more subtle than you might expect!). And I'm sorry to say that an analysis of Bieber's body language on Today makes me think ... well ... Selena, start packing your bags now, honey.
Here are 4 Signs That Indicate Justin Bieber Might Be Lying ...
- Watch those eyebrows! When someone is lying, they tend to raise their eyebrows and draw them together. At the rate he's going in this clip, Bieber's gonna get premature forehead wrinkles.
- He flicks his tongue before speaking. Look closely and you'll see that Bieber quickly licks his lips between statements. Does he need ChapStick? I doubt it ...
- His shoulders won't stop shrugging. Yet another telltale tic that means he might be trying to pull one over on us.
- The pitch of his voice is all over the place. Up, down, down, up ... "every NIGHT after the show I go right from the STAGE right to the CAR, so it's CRAZY!"

He's a teenage boy. These are all normal behaviours in conversation with a teenage boy. His voice changes frequently because hes A TEENAGE BOY.
He looks like a skinny kid standing in the cold twitching some to keep warm. I don't get why people try and read body language everyone does different things when they are nervous, cold, lying whatever the case may be. I think trying to read into some one's voice or movement is a waste of time.
I can care less about that little boys probs I have my own to worry about lol. But in this case I feel everyone has to stay neutral until the paternity results are ready because if he isn't the father then good for him "but it doesn't take the fact away that he didn't or did have sex with the girl, see we'll never know because none of us were there & if he is the father then he's going to look stupid since he said he never met the women & he didn't do anything with her. So either way Good Luck to Bieber!
Um honestly, I have seen him on Ellen and that is just his normal body language.
They have a court date in Dec. I think he is probably the father.
I saw a lot of what you described as him lieing throughout the rest of the video. He's young and probably nervous for being put on the spot in front of millions of people about something like that.

Did you actually watch the clip you posted? Even at the start of the interview they're talking about how is voice is changing right now. He's a teenage kid for goodness sake who has the whole dang nation focused on him for something negative, he's nervous. Not only that, but tell tale signs of a person lying aren't always true. You have to know the person's typical mannerisms generally. I have noticed with Justin that he tends to lick his lips a lot with interviews, and the eyebrows is just his normal facial expressions when talking. Seriously, watch the entire interview, (and maybe even some past ones) before writing a piece.
lol who cares. if some random teen from the suburbs did this you think it would be on the news all over the world? DOUBT IT. hes human too, humans make mistakes. BUT i think it may be a scam and hes just scared about what all of this will bring.
