There are things Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards should do, and then there are things she shouldn't do. Writing a self-help book would fall under the category of things she should never, ever do in a million years, but unfortunately, what's done is done. The book, which is tentatively titled Life Is Not a Reality Show: Keeping It Real With the Housewife Who Does It All, is due in stores December 27. Just in time for, no wait, I mean, just after the holiday rush.
I used to like Kyle. In fact, on season one, she was my fave! She was everyone's fave! Then ... something happened. Kyle went over to the dark side. Fame went to her head and now she's a raging bitch who has a book deal.
Life isn't fair, is it. The saddest part about this whole thing is that my sorry-ass would've bought Kyle's book after falling in love with her last year, but now all I want to do with it is use the pages to line my cat's litter box. OK, I don't have a cat, but yeah, you get the point.
Kyle told Variety that she plans to focus on how she manages her crazy, busy life and will write about all her passions: Her husband, family, work, and the joy of juggling it all. Also to be included are healthy recipes, cooking tips, and parenting advice.
I'm sure it's chock-full of what she thinks are fabulous recommendations that will help us to lead our best lives, but she should write what she knows. This season, she knows a lot about being really, really snobby and rude.
I'm sorry, it's true. Her transformation or, rather, her decline as a human being from season one to season two has been hard to watch. She should write about how to act like a bitchy school girl when you're a 42-year-old mother of four, or write about how to forget the rules of civil arguments and instead get up in someone's face with your finger positioned two inches from their eye, or how to deny a sister's addiction and pretend like nothing's wrong.
I don't know, Kyle's happy-go-lucky book just no longer rings true to the character we've seen her display over the last few episodes. I don't want any advice from her because I no longer admire her.
Do you? Will you buy her book?
