Adam Levine's Fox News Attack Makes Him Even More Annoying

You know, if you sandblasted off some of the cheesier-looking tattoos, forced him into a yay-or-nay decision with regards to that carefully-maintained five o'clock shadow, and wiped the bored Patrick Bateman expression off his smug face, I might find Maroon 5's Adam Levine to be an attractive guy. As long as he never opened his mouth, because no. Shhhh. Just shut up about your moooo-ooo-oo-oooves, Adam, and shut up about ... well, everything.

I guess Levine must be angling to be the voice of his generation or something, because ever since he landed a TV gig, he's been running his face-hole to any media outlet that's willing to listen. His latest outburst is against Fox News, and he expressed himself in his usual eloquent, powerful manner.

Namely, by jumping on Twitter to cuss out the news network for playing his music.

Yeah! Power to the people, Levine! Why would you bother going through the proper channels with your management team or reviewing your licensing agreements when you can just fire up your favorite social network so everyone knows how you feel? Way to stick it to the MAN. We can tell that you're subversive because you used the EFF WORD.

Being as how Levine had started such a mature dialogue, it's perhaps no surprise to learn that Andy Levy, one of Fox's anchors, responded in kind:

Dear @AdamLevine, don't make crappy [f---ing] music ever again. Thank you.

Well, I don't know about you, but I am just BEYOND impressed by the level of discourse happening here. In today's volatile political climate, it's downright inspiring to see this kind of intelligent discussion about the things that really matter. *eyeroll*

I'm not sure what all it is about Levine that rubs me the wrong way. It's not that I necessarily disagree with the things he has to say, it's more he always comes off like a giant douchebag. Unlike Entertainment Weekly, which recently squealed that Levine was "hot and socially aware," I just can't take a guy seriously who seems to get such an obvious media-attention boner from repeatedly posing nude and stirring up controversy on Twitter.

Plus, he's the reason this abominable video exists.

Enough said?

Are you an Adam Levine fan? If so ... why?
