What?! A stripper scandal involving Melissa Gorga, one of The Real Housewives?! Color me shocked. I just assumed she spent her pre-RHONJ days reading to the blind and volunteering at animal shelters!
Seriously, are we supposed to be surprised by this latest rumor? Supposedly there was a strip club employee present at the taping of the annual Posche fashion show who claimed Gorga used to work for him as a stripper at the club Lookers. Bravo really, really wanted Gorga to confront the guy -- on camera, of course -- but she stormed off mid-conversation to cry to her new pals Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita about mean old Teresa Giudice set her up.
Because, you know, she was NEVER a stripper!! She totally had clothes on when she worked at Lookers.
Gorga claims she was a bartender at Lookers, where her uniform was "a tank top, shorts and sneakers." Gorga and her supporters have launched an all-out denial campaign via Twitter. Tweeted Laurita, "Someone (not me) got set up tonight. There are some sneaky people trying to make someone look bad & then look innocent on camera. Sad."
For all I know Gorga is telling the truth. Personally, I don't care if she spent her "college years" working as a $5 hooker at a New Jersey truck stop. But I really don't think she should bother denying the rumors that she used to be a stripper. She's just adding fuel to the fire. If she wants people to forget about the whole thing, she should simply ignore the accusations entirely.
That would be the more dignified approach, anyway, but -- silly me! Who'd want to watch a dignified version of RHONJ?
Sex tapes and stripper scandals are exactly why people tune in to the RHONJ, and everybody on the show knows it. So if she's not going to ignore the rumors, maybe Gorga should "leak" some pics of her swinging around a stripper pole in a thong stuffed with dollar bills.

Lookers is a shady place. If it is who I think it is , he would offer jobs to any pretty girl. he even married one and then left her .I can understand why Melissa wants nothing to do with him. He is a corrupt person.
If she wasn't a stripper, then yes.
I really don't think anyone would even care. If she did or didn't she should have just stood up right then and there and made a joke and owend it. She has a big enough personality to overcome something so small as being a stripper in her past. She definitely could have made a joke and made light of it and it would have backfired on whoever it was who leaked it and tried to set her up.
Stipper or not, don't care. Melissa can handle it anyway she wants. It's her `hEstory'. There are some things I did way back in college in the 80's that I wouldn't neccessarily want the world to know about.
