Say it isn't so, David Arquette! All this time I've been convinced he was on the verge of reuniting with Courteney Cox, and it turns out he's totally moved on. He recently went back to his tell-all buddy Howard Stern to spill the news that he's hooked up with a new girlfriend, and they're currently spending as much time together as possible during his busy Dancing With the Stars schedule.

Well, it would have been nice to see him back with the mother of his child, but at least he probably picked someone who can support his sober lifestyle, right? I mean, after that embarrassing post-breakup partying binge followed by a trip to rehab at the beginning of the year, I'm sure he's hooked up with a nice, stable—

Oh. His new girlfriend is Christina McLarty, the ex-wife of Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis. Um ... okay then.

Apparently they met at "some boat party" a few months ago, and made their public debut as a couple at Comic-Con. Although they seem like a bit of a random pairing, Arquette and McLarty may have one major thing in common: they both have some cringe-worthy moments in their past. Arquette had what you might call a series of drunken public meltdowns at the end of 2010, and McLarty—well, for god's sake, she married Joe Francis. I don't even know how intoxicated you have to be for that to happen, but I'm guessing the answer is VERY.

Despite her dubious background, it sounds like McLarty is more than just a piece of arm candy, since she's been a reporter for years and is currently working for Entertainment Tonight and TheInsider.com. She also seems to make Arquette a very happy man, since he told Stern,

She's adorable. I'm not one to run around with different girls. I like someone that makes me feel good and that I can make feel good.

I know it's tacky to speculate about celebrity relationships, but I have a feeling that Arquette's relationship with McLarty isn't going to last. My money's on Courteney and David getting back together at some point, now that he's cleaned himself up and they've been separated for a while. I'm not sure why I think this—maybe it's because they were such an odd couple to begin with, so I assume there's a legitimately deep connection between the two of them. I mean, she certainly didn't marry him for his fashion choices, am I right?

Also, they have a kid together. This doesn't always matter in Hollywood, but it seems to in their case. Cox and their daughter Coco have been in the audience for several of Arquette's DWTS performances, and even though he describes his relationship with Cox as being "in the friend zone," I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them giving it another shot. You know, after he's had his fun with Mrs. Gone Wild.
