The Real Housewives franchise is currently undergoing a mass exodus. First, Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, Cindy Barshop, and Alex McCord were axed from The Real Housewives of New York. Now Jacqueline Laurita quit The Real Housewives of New Jersey like a bad habit.
Apparently Jacqueline, my favorite of the cray-cray bunch, has had it with all the drama. She's tapped. Done. Stick a pasta fork in her. In fact, so much so that she didn't even want to attend the show's reunion, which taped last Wednesday.
Tuesday night, after Jacqueline attended the annual fashion show for the world famous Posche boutique, she tweeted, "No reunion for me. Sorry guys. XOXO!" But alas, she went, because of, you know, contracts and all, and when she returned, she tweeted, "I feel nauseous and feverish." Then later on she tweeted again: "I can't be part of the Charade anymore. It's unsettling. It's disturbing & against what I stand for. I'm a REAL housewife." When asked whether or not Jacqueline quit, Bravo had no comment, but a source says that she "definitely did," adding, "She had to walk away for her sanity."
I'm proud of Jacqueline. Good for her for walking away from all the ridiculous drama that is RHONJ. Even with Danielle Staub gone, the show has remained a circus. And it seems to only be getting worse, what with Teresa Giudice getting more insane and more delusional by the minute. I wouldn't be able to stand that either.
Save for her bratty daughter Ashely, Jacqueline seems to have a good home life and a solid support system around her. I'm sure she'll be much happier off the show. And now she can hang out with Dina.
Do you think Jacqueline was smart to quit RHONJ?
