For someone who proclaims to be an expert on finding love, Patti Stanger sure has some interesting perspectives to share about the dating public. And by "interesting" I mean "judgmental, rudely stereotypical, and frankly kind of offensive."
Stanger, who is the host of Bravo's Millionaire Matchmaker, recently appeared on a call-in show to dish out some dating advice—but somewhere along the line, she managed to insult both gay and Jewish men, and that's not even including the jaw-droppingly obnoxious things she said women should do to attract a partner.
When responding to a gay man's question about whether long-distance open relationships are possible, Stanger made it clear she had no faith that gay men were even remotely capable of monogamy. She said,
In the gay world, there’s always going to be open [relationships] .... There is no curbing the gay man. I have tried to curb you people.
Oh, those insatiable sex-addicted gay men, just running around having the gay sex with anyone they please. That's probably exactly why so many gay men are pushing for gay marriage: for the GAY CHEATING.
Stanger also told a gay male fan who Skyped in, “You’re very handsome. I thought you were straight ... that’s a compliment," before going on question the values of Jewish men by claiming that "Jewish men lie." All in all, her performance on the call-in show triggered an outpouring of criticism on Twitter, with many asking that she be fired.
Luckily for her ego, Stanger seems nearly as clueless about social media as she does about dating:

Stanger certainly seems to be on a roll lately, assuming her ultimate goal is to hand out stupendously shitty advice while offending as many people as possible. While she's gone on record saying that curly-haired women should straighten their hair to attract men and red-haired women should get dye jobs ("The only men who like redheads are Irish"), last week on the TV show New York Live, she also offered the opinion that women should downplay their intellect while they're dating.
[Men] like [smart women] after marriage. They don't like them before they are married. You got to dumb it down a little because men are not that bright.
In conclusion, I'm pretty sure Patti Stanger's title as a "dating expert" should be rescinded, considering she 1) sounds like an asshole, and 2) is, ahem, 50 and single. Juuuuuuuust saying.
What do you think about Patti Stanger's comments?

It seems like she may not be in on the joke of why people watch her show. She gives cringeworthy terrible advice, and then we all watch it blow up in the Millionaire's and/or gold-diggers face.
Who would really take dating advice from an unpleasant 40-something unmarried woman?
I agree with MrsKitty. How can you label yourself a relationship expert when you're single?
Yeah.....she's single for a reason. Well, a reason besides her fondness for wearing girly pink shimmer lipstick on her aging, jowly scowl. Because everyone knows if you've got a really masculine face and unpleasant personaily, painting on a desperate shade of tween will help.
lmao @hoticedcoffee!!!! ahhh, fortunately i'd finished the mouthful of mountain dew or it would have been on the screen. so true, so true!!
