Pippa Middleton Special Will Be Better Than the Royal Wedding

by Nicole Fabian-Weber on July 28, 2011 at 3:37 PM

pippa middletonLast night I was doing some bills, half-watching TV when I saw it. A commercial for a special that's set to air August 9 at 9 p.m. (EST) on TLC: Crazy About Pippa. An hour-long program that delves deep into the life of Duchess Catherine's younger sister, aka "Britain's Most Eligible Bachelorette," Pippa Middleton. Hell. Yes. Beatles-esque screams could be heard throughout my building, and a Nicole-shaped cut-out could be seen through my living room wall.

You guys, since the royal North American tour ended, I've been seriously jonesing for my next royal fix. I've looked high and low, but haven't been able to score any of the good stuff. I honestly think I've ingested every single thing there is to know about Kate Middleton and her shiny Duchess mane, so knowing that a special on the next best (best?) thing is a mere 12 days away is comforting, to say the least. What will I do until then, though?

Am I a crazy weirdo for being so into all things royal? Probably. Would I be taken away if a person of authority saw the royal altar that sits in my closet? Definitely. But I can't help it. I find them endlessly fascinating -- particularly the Middleton sisters. And let's not forget Pippa's not even royalty! Yet. There best be some details in this special about a hot Prince Ginge hook-up the night of the royal wedding.

In all honestly, I'm not totally sure what we're going to find out about Pippa that we don't already know. I mean, let's face it, it was all Pippa, all the time after Kate and William tied the knot. I imagine there will be a big portion on her derriere, another section on her "is-he-or-isn't-he" boyfriend, Alex Loudon, and perhaps a little time spent on how she was as a child. Works for me.

Of course, the only bummer about this special is that there isn't an actual interview with the subject herself. (When will she give one, dammit?) I'm guessing we get to watch a bunch of people she knew way back talk about how she was always "such a bubbly girl" or something. Again, as long as there are photos to back this info up, okay for this gal.

So, set your TiVos, guys and dolls. Pippa's about to invade our televisions (again). And this time we'll get to enjoy her without all that "royal wedding" stuff going on in the background.

Will you watch the Pippa Middleton special?

No I won't. In all honesty if her sister had not married Prince William we would not know who she is.

I seriously do not get what the big deal is about this woman. I honestly do not even think she is that great looking. Yes, she has a nice body, but as far as her face, I don't think she compares to her sister. And I'm really not trying to be mean or nasty, I just don't see it.

Is it just me or does she look older than Kate?

I don't know why, but I think Pippa is the bomb. Has to do with catching my breath when she bent over to get her sister's train, and her athletic, smiling good looks. Go girl!

I think her journey to the limelight started with the moment her sister married Prince William. With her glamorous look and bubbly personality, it was no surprise why she is known as the 'Number 1 Society Singleton'. I believe 'Crazy about Pippa' would make everyone go gaga over her.
