Justin Timberlake Better Take the Lady Marine to the Ball (VIDEO)
Talk about a girl with true grit! Never mind the fact that Cpl. Kelly De Santis is the only female serving at the Martial Arts Center for Excellence at Marine Corps Base Quantico. De Santis just called out Justin Timberlake in a YouTube video inspired by a fellow male Marine's (successful!) invitation of Mila Kunis to be his date for the Marine Corps Ball. As Justin would say: Damn, girl!
This has got to be the most foolproof ploy to land Justin Timberlake ever executed: Since JT is the one who publicly nudged Kunis to accept her Marine Corps Ball invitation, he can't very well decline his own without looking like a lameass. And De Santis knows it: "If you can't make it, all I can say is 'Cry Me a River,'" she taunts him at the end of the video. Aw yeah, you hear that JT??
The other thing I love about this video is the line of super-buff male Marines standing in a line behind De Santis as she addresses Timberlake. Each guy has his arms folded and his legs apart in a stance that says, "You WILL be taking our girl to the ball, understood?" How funny would it be if those same guys trailed behind De Santis and Timberlake at the Ball as chaperones?
I'm already a huge fan of Timberlake, but if he steps up and takes De Santis to the dance, I might just, I don't know, get his name tattooed on my lower back or something. Going through with this stunt would officially make JT THE Most Charming Celeb Ever. Charming enough, even, to warrant a tramp stamp. (Just don't hold me to that, okay?)
Hopefully in the next chapter of this saga, Mila Kunis will have a "turnabout is fair play" moment and put her boy Justin on the spot. I can't wait to see how he reacts!
Do you think Justin Timberlake will take Cpl. Kelly De Santis to the Marine Corps Ball?

I think this is stupid and I don't think that guy should have asked Kunis. They're in the service. These chose to be. What makes these people think a movie star can just stop everything for them? They work. They have jobs. Now Kunis is in hot water because she's scheduled for two movies and can't go and she's getting bashed all over the place. What the hell??? Ask the person who's in your life to take you. This is so disrespectful of these service people. Talk about putting them in a hard spot.

Hey.. I may not be in the Marines, but do you think I could get Johnny Depp?? :) Everyone else seems to be on a roll today!

Lynn, they deserve respect but trying to get half of Hollywood to date them is nuts. I don't know if you were meaning my post as one of the "ones above" but I dated a soldier for a long time until he came home with his mind gone and pushed everyone away when they said he had known them. I have respect for soldiers. This is ridiculous though.
Also, the marine on this video flashes so much attitude and acts like she is so great, that I HOPE he turns her down. Just look at her body language.

@ JAFE She could have said she wasn't sure if her schedule would allow it and gotten back to him. She could have said no because she was already scheduled. She didn't have to accept. It's really very simple. You say, "I would love to go with you, but I'm not sure I am free on that night. Let me check my work schedule and get back to you." Marines understand that your job makes life difficult sometimes. Maybe he doesn't have a special person in his life. He must think she is pretty special to ask. Nothing disrespectful about that. Maybe she can find a way to attend. I think it is great that she is willing to entertain the idea, let alone go.
