I can't say I'm shocked, but I will say I'm disappointed. Rumor has it that Kim Kardashian and her husband-to-be, Kris Humphries, are going to be starring in their very own reality show. And a subsidiary of that rumor has it that they already started shooting.
Apparently the show is hinging upon Kris's contract negotiations. He's currently a free agent; but as educational athletic shows like Basketball Wives and Kendra have taught us, we all know that that means he could wind up on any team -- in any city -- at any moment's notice. And certain teams don't want their players partaking in reality shows like certain Kardashian-affiliated Lakers we know.
Who cares about the sports of it, though? What would a reality show mean for Kim and Kris's relationship? They have heard of "the curse," haven't they?
I don't need to regale you with a list of the celebs who have starred in their own shows and since split up (but I will). Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro, Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler, Jon and Kate Gosselin, everyone on The Bachelor and Bachelorette, and of course, the godparents of "couple" reality TV, Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. It's the perfect equation for entertaining TV, the ideal recipe for a bad relationship.
Thing that I don't get is, why do Kim and Kris even need their own reality show? Wouldn't it be better, like everything in life, in small doses? Kim already has Keeping Up With the Kardashians -- and guest spots on Khloe & Lamar. A third show just seems like overkill. Not to mention the fact that she and Kris both have wildly successful careers already. I vote they should just enjoy this exciting time in their lives -- and each other -- in private.
Well, at least in as much privacy as Kris Jenner will allow.

I think she's always tryna gain more attention than the rest of her sisters.. Like when Kourtney &Khloe took miami she had to get her own with Kourtney & take NY, Now Khloes gaining lots of attention with Her & Lamar so Fame whore Kim wants the same with Kris, Only thing is her &kris are both boring as fuck and Kris is a big nobody with no where near the talent & recognition as Lamar.. Soooo Fuck off Kim ur the ultimate fame whore.. damn enough is enough!! There gonna dry up fast and be old news soon!!
That's what they do best - they have shows for everything. I wouldn't be surprised if Bruce's daughters got their own show at some point.
I don't think it's a recipe for disaster. Khloe and Lamar seem to be doing just fine. Kourtney and Scott are STILL going despite being filmed for how many years now?!
