An older bikini pic of LeAnn RimesWhen I first saw LeAnn Rimes' latest bikini TwitPics, I groaned. "Oh God, another freakin' photo of her in a bathing suit," I thought. "Enough already! How can one person be so narcissistic (and annoying)?" But, then, upon further speculation on this deeply important world issue, I actually started to feel bad for her. Because the only thing this non-stop bikini photo inundation from LeAnn says is: She's terribly, terribly insecure.
I mean, all famous (and non-famous) people are. But LeAnn seems to be suffering from a whole new breed of insecurity. (She actually doctored her latest photos up to look all artsy and black and white). There's one reason and one reason only one would post that many half-naked pictures of one's self on the Internet: To illicit compliments to assure yourself you're attractive.
So, the question now is: Why does LeAnn feel so unattractive? I think we all know the answer.
Her husband's, Eddie Cibrian, ex-wife, Brandi Glanville (who, did you know, is going to be on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills next season? Amazing!) is hot. Smokin' hot, actually, if you're into that rail thin, big-breasted, ersatz kind of thing. Clearly, this hits a nerve with LeAnn -- and it shouldn't because A) she stole Eddie from her, and B) she's the talented, rich one with the lovely voice. If you want to think about it in those superficial terms, LeAnn wins.
It's kind of sad, actually. I mean, LeAnn even went as far as to get breast implants after hooking up with Eddie -- something Brandi has. She lost tons (too much) weight. And has even tweeted eerily similar photos of herself that Brandi tweeted first. It's weird, dude. And it's not sending a very positive message to young girls -- especially the part where she keeps referring to her stick-thin frame as "curvy." That's not curvy, LeAnn. And I think you know it.
But maybe this is something LeAnn has suffered with her whole life, though, and we just didn't know it. I mean, she's been in the spotlight since she was really young, and it wasn't until a few years ago that social media and the Internet at large made their ways into all of our homes and offices. Maybe we all were just blind before. Because how else do you explain cheating on your husband -- with a married man?
What do you think of LeAnn Rimes constantly posting bikini photos of herself?
