A young man named Sung-Bong Choi, 22, performed the other night on Korea's Got Talent and made the judges, audience members, and surely many viewers weep like babies with his incredibly beautiful singing voice. And it wasn't just the song, it was the man. The man, a former homeless orphan who's lived on his own since five years old and now makes ends meet doing manual labor, who comes across as beautiful as his passionate and soul-touching song.

Get out the hankies, friends. Sung-Bong Choi is going to make you fall in love with this next moment -- with his gigantic voice and his even bigger heart.

Wow, wow, wow to this man's humility and grace! As I listened to his story and then his song, I had what I call a "god moment." Stay with me ... You know when you look up at the starry sky on a clear night or across the valley during a golden sunset, and you slowly pull in your breath think, Wow, life is frickin' beautiful. Well, that's pretty much what happened for me watching Sung.

These moments tend to come much too rarely in our hectic lives. Often, we're too busy to notice them or we forget to even take a few minutes to look for them. However, it seems that always, right when I need them most, these windows full of clarity and life and promise open up and invite me to peer inside. And then I remember (again) that life is, indeed, bigger than all of us, just like the power of Sung's voice is so much bigger than he is. Just like Sung's passion to keep singing, despite the fact that he doesn't even think he's good, is bigger than the practicality of a singing career for a man in his shoes. That big thing, whatever you call it, is what makes me love this life.

Thank you, Sung-Bong Choi, for being that beautiful reminder today.

What's your reaction to Sung's song and story?
