Model Estella Warren Knows Her Way Around Handcuffs

Nicole Fabian-Weber

estella warrenSexy model and Planet of the Apes actress Estella Warren was busted for DUI Monday night. The starlet managed to stay eco-friendly when she rammed her Toyota Prius into three parked cars. After the incident, she took off, but the police were quick to find her. (Which, when you think about it, is kind of amazing. Have you heard how quiet Priuses are?)

So, BFD, you're thinking right now, correct? Why should you keep reading? Actors, athletes, and models get busted all the time for that stuff. Yes, you're right they do. But do they kick and punch the arresting cops and then manage to wiggle their way out of handcuffs while sitting at the police station and take off like a convict? Estella did.

The police managed to catch Estella -- again -- and she was held in jail for 15 hours, finally being sprung after a $100,000 bail was posted.

Here's the thing about this crazy story for me. I know this is absolutely terrible. There is not one ounce of me that thinks drunk driving is okay. But, is it not kind of amazing how bonkers she went afterwards? She escaped from prison! I thought that stuff only happened in movies. And the fact that she's a model? Doubly fascinating!

See, anyone who knows me knows I love a good model-going-crazy story. Naomi Campbell is my queen and I worship in her cellphone throwing, temper-tantrum having house. Not because her behavior is okay, because it's so diva. In my opinion, models are the only creatures on our planet who can actually get away with this kind of stuff. When an actress does it, she's a brat. When an athlete does it, he's a dirt bag. But when a model does it? She's just a fierce bitch who's used to getting her pretty way. So stereotypical. But so glorious.

I hope Estella has to pay big for what she did -- and she could be in serious doo-doo if she's charged with a felony escape from a penal institution in addition to drunk driving. But the fact that she occasionally works it on the runway? It makes it the tiniest bit excusable.

What do you think about Estella Warren's great escape?
