At least this sort of explains why Sonja Morgan went from being a pretty fun, likable gal on last season's Real Housewives of New York to being a raging lunatic and flat-out b*tch on the current season -- she's a fraud. More specifically, she's been ordered to pay $7 million for fraudulent behavior after a movie she was making never happened.
Well, no wonder she forgot to wear pants at her costume party -- she clearly had other things on her mind.
According to PopEater, the charges are for a movie titled Fast Flash to Bang Time, which was supposed to star John Travolta. A judge yesterday ordered her to pay Richard Rionda del Castro and his company, Hannibal Pictures, $7 million. In a statement, del Castro said:
With the confirmation by one of the highest Courts of our country, the masks are falling and there is no longer any doubt that we were defrauded and severely damaged. We are now going to collect to the fullest extent of the law.
Yikes, that's a lot of money to come up with that she apparently doesn't have. In November she filed for bankruptcy and listed $19.8 million in debt. What is it with these Real Housewives and bankruptcy?! One after another they tumble ...
Hope that toaster oven cookbook of hers sells pretty well. Maybe she better record a song while she's at it.
How do you think Sonja Morgan is going to come up with this cash?
