When I heard that my favorite high-schoolers were taking on the Big Apple, I knew what I had to do. Glee is currently filming its finale, which will air May 24, within miles of The Stir office, and I -- your new best friend -- went in pursuit of some insider gossip.

Today's mission: Find the cast of Glee. Today's secondary mission: Get myself a photo with Finn (Cory Monteith). Time was of the essence. With my cellphone in my right hand and a Canon PowerShot in my left, I was off.

Caution: Possible spoilers AKA a whole LOT of speculation ahead.

9:45 a.m. Behold: The Glee trailers. I waited in anticipation, just hoping to snag a quick look-see at Finn's handsome tush smile.

10:06 a.m. A door opens. My heart is pounding. Would it be "the tush"? Nope. But ... it's Mercedes (Amber Riley). The man behind the tree asks her some questions. I do my best Nancy Drew impersonation and eavesdrop on the people beside me. I hear them say that lunch break is soon. And supposedly ... Matthew Morrison is having a panini! Hold on, what's that, I hear? They're shooting RIGHT NOW at Tiffany & Co. That's all the way uptown! I quickly hail a cab.

10:20 a.m. OMG, see them!? See them?! There -- in the right corner? Oh hey, Rachel and Kurt! OMG, your jacket is a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e! I sprint across the street to get a closer look.

10:24 a.m. I make friends with a few of the techies who let me stand behind a bush, in front of a barrier. Good thing, because you see what's happening here, don't you? That's Rachel window shopping at Tiffany. Rumor has it that Finn was there somewhere -- but the tush is nowhere to be seen. Sigh. What ... oh what ... could they be shopping for?

10:30 a.m. The scene wraps, and the stars are out. Seriously, how chic is Chris Colfer? Back to the trailers I go.

10:45 a.m. Within minutes of arriving back at what I like to refer to as "home base," I'm pleasantly surprised by Santana (Naya Rivera).

It gets better:

10:47 a.m. Cute bag. Rockin' boots. And awwww, I think my neighbor's toddler has the same shorts. Santana is joined by Sam (Chord Overstreet) and I drool (just a little). The two sneak behind a truck and go across the street where she buys something at a newsstand.

10:51 a.m. Swoon. The pair flees. I go back to home base, and there I find ... Quinn!

11:00 a.m. That's me (!!!), on the left, with Ms. Lucy Caboosey (AKA Quinn) (AKA Dianna Agron). She's gorgeous. I officially have a girl crush. Can you tell I'm ecstatic? This is around the time I stop caring whether or not I find Cory Monteith.

11:35 a.m. Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) emerges! And see there -- that's his panini! Will comes and goes, and I'm feeling that my Glee-filled day may be dunzo. To celebrate a Gleek's dream morning, I grab a passion iced tea.

12 p.m. What's that you say, person next to me at Starbucks? Something about a hotel a few blocks away? WHAT? They're doing a musical number? She runs. I follow.

1 p.m. Wow, that's a lot of Gleeks.

1:30 p.m. Hmmm. No dancing. No singing. I wait. And I wait. Nothing happens. My tech friend says it's gonna be a while.

1:32 p.m. Artie (Kevin McHale) emerges. OMG! ARTIE CAN WALK! IT'S A GLEEPOCALYPTIC MIRACLE!

1:48 p.m. Puck (Mark Salling) walks out the front door with his skateboard, lays it down, and floats away. Mohawks have never been my thing. But holy HELL is he good looking. Even in camo. And especially in Vans sneakers.

Alas, after almost two hours of waiting outside the Intercontinental Hotel, my day of Gleeking must come to an end. I may not have snagged a snapshot of the Finnster, but at least I know that moonlighting as paparazzi could be in my foreseeable future.
