Confessions of a Team Pattinson 'Cougar' (VIDEO)

I have a confession to make. Um, I think Robert Pattinson is hot. I know, shocking, but I didn't really feel like I could say anything back when Pattinson was just a heartthrob on a poster hanging on my daughter's bedroom wall. Now that he's the leading man in Water for Elephants, however, opposite Reese Witherspoon, who's my age, I'm thinking ... fair game?

It still makes me feel a little bit creepy, in a cougar-ish kind of way, to "look with lust" at a man-child who's a full 10 years younger than I am. Before, I could kind of disguise my status as a member of Team Edward ... hey, somebody had to take my daughter to see New Moon the very second it opened, right? But now that it's socially acceptable for a 30-something mom to say so ... well, let's be honest here, ladies. Did Pattinson not have you at "hello"? (Or whatever the first word he uttered in Twilight was? He was pretty quiet for a while there.)

I haven't seen Water for Elephants yet, but I have watched the trailer, and I have a new justification for crushing on Pattinson: One look into those eyes and you just know he's wise beyond his years. (Obviously a deciding factor when he was cast as a centuries-old vampire.) Though if there's anyone who's dead on the inside, it must be Witherspoon, as early reviews are saying there's not much chemistry between the two actors. How is that even possible?? Especially when Witherspoon gushed over Pattinson off-camera.

Anyway, I'm relieved to be able to cop to repeated viewings of Eclipse. But I still draw the line at mooning over Pattinson as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I may be a cougar, but I'm not a cradle-robber.

Are you ready to reveal your crush on Robert Pattinson?
