Last week Bravo broke the somber, but humane, news that The Real Housewives of D.C. would be put to rest forever. This week, however, they brought out the celebratory-worthy announcement that The Real Housewives of New Jersey are coming back May 16, and they're adding some hot new blood to the mix. Yippee!
Though there will be no Danielle Staub drama as she's been set out in search of greener pastures, Teresa Giudice's sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, will likely fill the drama deficit. There are plenty of reasons to be pumped that Bravo has sealed the deal with her, not the least of which is the rumored jealousy between she and Teresa. She has three children -- Antonia, 5, Gino, 3, and Joey, 6 months.
The other new housewife is Kathy Wakile, who is more of an unknown. She's also related to Giudice -- her father and Teresa's mom are siblings, which makes them first cousins. She has two teenage children -- Victoria, 17, and Joey, 15.
That's a lot of Joes and Joeys for one show, and an awful lot of potential for good old-fashioned family fights. According to Bravo: "The drama picks up where last season left off when holidays are celebrated, children leave the nest, and tensions run high between housewives." Can. Not. Wait!
Which is your favorite Real Housewives series? Do you think New Jersey will be as good without Danielle Staub?
