Ah, it's that time of year again. The cherry trees are in bloom, the smell of spring is in the air, and People has carried out the staggering effort of combing through all seven continents in search of the world's most attractive human.
In 2011, it has been declared that Jennifer Lopez is the most beautiful person in the entire world.
As usual, the magazine based their choice on a number of meaningful factors, none of which have anything to do with the honoree's current popularity or association with a hit television show, shut up.
J.Lo is undeniably gorgeous, and she clearly works hard to keep up her good looks. The 41-year-old musician/movie star/singing competition judge tells People that her superhuman appearance requires a lot of effort:
The thing is, it's part of my job. I don't want anybody thinking it's easy. It does take time and it's hard work. HDTV wide-screen is nobody's friend!
I have no doubt she undergoes a stunning amount of upkeep on a daily basis. In fact, I'd like to know just what goes into her skin routine, because every time I see her on American Idol I feel like I'm staring at a vampire. Lopez is one of those stars who claims she doesn't use cosmetic enhancements or surgery, but if you ask me, that forehead of hers was made by Botox, not Maybelline.
Let's be real, there's no way J.Lo would be on the front of this issue if it wasn't for American Idol, but given the choices they could have gone with I'm glad to see her there. She may be an utterly unattainable representation of what a 41-year-old woman can look like, unless they have access to many millions of dollars and a daily bath in the blood of virgins, but what the hell, I like her.
The "Most Beautiful" issue looks jam-packed this time around, highlighting other physically attractive celebrities like Mila Kunis, Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Hudson, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, and Jennifer Lawrence. It also includes that ever-amusing section of "Stars Without Makeup," which should totally be renamed "Stars wearing a shitload of makeup (in neutral tones)."
What do you think about Jennifer Lopez being named Most Beautiful Person? Agree/disagree?

i think she looks better now than shes ever looked. i dont watch idol but i have seen pictures of her lately and she looks awesome.
I wouldn't consider her to be the most beautiful woman, no. I think this has a lot to do with American Idol, imo.
It's someone different each year and we're all not attracted to the same type of person and she is gorgeous so yes, I think it's her turn to be on there. Of the above you mentioned, I only find Reese Witherspoon and Sandra Bullock beautiful so we're all different.
I think JLO is very pretty, but not the most beautiful in the world. I really think Catherine Zeta-Jones is beautiful. She reminds me of the women from the 30's and 40's that were classic beauties....
I like Jennifer Lopez and she looks better at 41 than some of the 20 somethings entertainers today.
She maybe pretty but she not the most beautiful women in the world.
