MTV got their hands on Rob Pattinson last month, and this month, Taylor Lautner is the star of the show. Tomorrow, actually, MTV First: Taylor Lautner will premiere on air and online at 7:56 p.m. ET. That's when you can also check out the exclusive debut of the first trailer from his upcoming action flick Abduction.
After the trailer, MTV.com will host an interactive Q&A with Taylor. (Cue collective fan girl squeel!) Right after the trailer airs, he'll spend 30 minutes with MTV News, and fans will have the chance to quiz Taylor on anything from how many scenes in which he's starred shirtless to whether or not he regrets breaking up with Taylor #2 (Swift). You can submit questions ahead of time on MTV.com or via Twitter (using@MTVNews and the hashtag #AskTaylor).
I've always seen this kid as the next The Rock, or someone like that, and now it's actually happening!
He's breaking free of the Twilight franchise -- well, at least for a little bit -- and doing his own thing. In Abduction, Lautner plays a teen who stumbles upon his baby picture on a missing-persons website. (Remind you of Caroline B. Cooney's Face on the Milk Carton much?) Soon after he reaches out to his birth parents, he finds himself in a world intrigue!, underground spies!, and death-defying stunts, oh my! He'll star alongside Lily Collins, Alfred Molina, Sigourney Weaver (nice), Jason Isaacs, and Maria Bello.
Sounds like a summer popcorn flick suited for both breathless Taylor fans and their guys, eh? Well, between the MTV gig and the movie premiere, I wish Taylor nothing but a win-win!
