Live Chat With Your Favorite Celebrities Next Week: Here's How!

Heather Chaet

twitterI'm often on the Internet while I watch my TV shows. I'm checking Facebook, I'm surfing around, I'm tweeting. But CBS just announced news that will take my multitasking to a whole new level! They are kicking off Tweet Week!

From April 3 through April 11, stars from their shows will be tweeting live during the shows. This hops on the trend led by my man Jeff Probst, the host of Survivor. The Probst has been tweeting live on Wednesday nights for the past few weeks.

Of course, it's a great way to get millions of people to follow their stars, ergo their shows, on Twitter. Sure, they use it to get publicity and higher ratings ... but I don't care. I'm all, well, I'm all atwitter!

Why? Because you get access -- or at least you feel like you are getting access -- to the stars. You get to ask them questions, you get to interact as if they were sitting next to you on the couch as you watch the show, sharing your Nana's old afghan, passing the popcorn.

Here's the rundown (all of the times are EST):

Sunday, April 3 at 8 p.m.
Academy of Country Music Awards
Performer @DierksBentley and presenter @JulianneHough

Monday, April 4 at 9 p.m.
2011 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship Game
CBS Sports analysts @GregAnthony50 and @SethDavisHoops

Tuesday, April 5 at 8 p.m.
NCIS star @PauleyP (Pauley Perrette)

Wednesday, April 6 at 8 p.m.
Survivor host @JeffProbst

Thursday, April 7 at 8 p.m.
The Big Bang Theory star @SimonHelberg

Friday, April 8 at 10 p.m.
Blue Bloods star @DonnieWahlberg

Sunday, April 10 at 8 p.m.
The Amazing Race host @PhilKeoghan

Monday, April 11 at 10 p.m.
Hawaii Five-O star @DanielDaeKim

I know all the young kids today are on Twitter. I am because it's part of my job (ummm, shameless plug here to follow me). But how many regular 30- or 40-something moms are on Twitter? I really have no idea. A lot? Not many? We are in the golden demographic of adults aged 18-49 years old, so they want to get us to watch ... and I know a few moms who would join Twitter just to have a chance to chat with Phil Keoghan from The Amazing Race. Maybe CBS is on to something.

Are you excited for "Tweet Week" on CBS?
