Has Sammy Hagar been indulging in a few too many worm-studded agave beverages, or is he just a savvy businessman? The ex-Van Halen frontman and current owner of the Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, has confessed that he was once abducted by aliens.
While promoting his new book, Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock, the 63-year-old rocker says he was probed by aliens in the early '70s. Apparently he saw a spaceship with two creatures inside, who proceeded to connect to him through some kind of mysterious WiFi device.
Hagar doesn't say whether or not the extraterrestrials took the, ah, back door route to his brain, but they were definitely looking for information. Or possibly sending him information.
Actually, it's all a little confusing:
That's right, it was real. Aliens were plugged into me. It was a download situation. This was long before computers or any kind of wireless. There weren't even wireless telephones. Looking back now, it was like, "F--k they downloaded something into me!" Or they uploaded something from my brain, like an experiment, "See what this guy knows."
So, we have a few intriguing possibilities with Hagar's story. One, he's friggin' nuts. Two, this all really happened, and aliens flew trillions of light years across space and time in order to make a neurological connection with the guy who sang "Mas Tequila."
Or three, he figured out the only way to generate interest in his new memoir.
Personally, my money's on "dude's brain is totally cheeched." What's your take?
