Make Dad move to the bedroom to watch the NCAA Tournament on his iPad. You need the TV this weekend. Grab your wand, snuggle next to your stuffed Hedwig and say "Accio remote!" it's the Harry Potter Marathon Weekend on ABC Family!
I am not ashamed to admit I'm a 38-year-old Potterhead. I have read all of the books, been at the midnight screenings of the films. The last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was released the summer after Kiddo was born. Suffice it to say, I was counting the minutes til nap time so I could dive into the final installment and see how J.K. Rowling wrapped up the saga.
Do you get a little giddy when Harry Potter is mentioned? Do you get excited when the theme song plays? For the Harry Potter fans in your home, here's the marathon info and the new footage from the last movie!
The marathon actually started last night, but no worries, folks -- they are running the movies all weekend long (the times are EST). Seriously, look at that schedule. When I say marathon, I mean non-stop wizardry. You can be watching Harry, Hermione, Ron and the whole gang (Snape is my fave) for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You'll be quoting Dumbledore and casting spells til April.
