Thank goodness for her pom poms, otherwise Taylor Corley would have been just another college coed posing for Playboy. But throw in the fact that she is WAS a cheerleader at a major university, and it's like a magic ticket to stardom.
In case you're wondering just who this Taylor is, she was a cheerleader at Mississippi State University. She posed for Hef's skin mag under the name Taylor Stone, but when the university got wind of the pics, all sorts of sparks flew. Her poms poms were in jeopardy as the university decided just what to do with such a naughty cheerleader. Now, according to MSL, Corley and her squad have "mutally parted ways."
But don't feel bad for Corley; she's not shedding any tears over cheers that will never be. In fact, this whole scandal may be one of the best things that's ever happened to her.
SPORTSbyBROOKS talked to Corley this week and found out all the exciting things that have come about for her after all the controversy, including more work with Playboy:
I’ve been in contact with Playboy, I actually was on the Playboy Morning Show on Playboy Radio this [Wednesday] morning! I’m also in the running for Model of the Year 2011!
Plus, she got a reality show gig out of it:
I am about to start a new reality TV series called Girl Swagg, it’s a pilot for MTV/VH1 and I’m very excited to move forward with that. This has been planned for a few months now though. I do not have any representation yet, as of right now my mom is just helping me with everything!
Girl Swagg? Hmmm. Can't wait to see what that's all about. In any case, a little scolding from the school isn't much of a price to pay for such a big career boost. In fact, Corley is so excited about her new acting career that she says she doesn't think she'll be hanging around Mississippi State University for long. Sorry Bulldogs, she'll remember you when. And next time you have a naughty cheerleader with some notoriety, consider trying to keep her as she'll surely up your attendance at games.
Are you surprised to learn that Corley and the team have parted ways?
