Mumford & Sons, Dr. Dre? Grammy Lineup Officially Kicks Ass

Holy crap, today's Grammy announcement is awesome. Before I read it, I was like, oh god not another awards show, why aren't these things dispersed throughout the year, I don't care what anyone wears anymore, but now I am FIRING UP MY TIVO.

The big announcement for this Sunday's 53rd annual Grammy Awards is that Bob Dylan will be performing. This by itself would not get me in a lather, because just between you and me and the three thousand times I've told my husband to turn down "Masters of War," I cannot stand Bob Dylan, despite his 10 Grammy wins and Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Awards and all, but I love love LOVE Mumford & Sons, and that's who he'll be performing with.

Can the scalp-tingling wonder that is Mumford & Sons overcome the warbling ear-cringing oh-jesus-quit-with-the-damn-harmonica-hell that is Bob Dylan? I am betting they can.

The other fist-pumping news is that Dr. Dre has signed on join Eminem at the show, which will be Dre's first live television performance in more than a decade. Dr. Dre, you guys. IS THERE A MOTHERBLEEPING DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE YES THERE IS.

(I am a little excited about this.)

Also, this will be the first live TV appearance for Christina Aguilera since she biffed the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. She'll take part in an all-star tribute to R&B legend Aretha Franklin, and I don't know about you, but I can't wait to hear what twilights Xtina will be reaming.

Other performers on the show include: Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Drake and Rihanna, B.o.B, Bruno Mars and Janelle Monáe, Lady Antebellum, and Justin Bieber with Usher and Jaden Smith, as well as Eminem, Arcade Fire, Miranda Lambert, Muse, and Cee Lo Green with Gwyneth Paltrow, and the Jim Henson Company Puppets (WTF?).

A whole slew of additional Grammy presenters have also been announced, including Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Seacrest, Eva Longoria, Zac Brown, Ricky Martin, Matthew Morrison, Jason Segel, Keith Urban, will.i.am, and Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews. They join a list that already includes Marc Anthony, Jamie Foxx, Jewel, John Mayer, Donnie Wahlberg, Miley Cyrus, Paramore, Neil Patrick Harris, John Legend, Seth Rogen, Selena Gomez, Norah Jones, Nicki Minaj, LL Cool J, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, and Kris Kristofferson.

It sounds like a hell of a show, really. Will you be watching?
