Julia Roberts vs. Charlize Theron: Who Will Make the More Evil Snow White Queen?

Finally, a role she can sink her (many) (gleaming) (enormous) teeth into: Julia Roberts has been confirmed to play the Evil Queen in the upcoming Relativity Media-backed Snow White reboot, The Brothers Grimm: Snow White.

Please note, this is not to be confused with the OTHER revamped Snow White movie, Snow White and the Huntsman, a Universal film roiling with casting rumors: Viggo Mortensen and Kristen Stewart are in talks for the leads, and Charlize Theron is at the front of the line for the Evil Queen role.

So, which Oscar-winning beauty will be the Meanest of Them All? The smart money might initially go to Theron, who utterly transformed herself to play Aileen Wuornos in Monster, but let's review the facts about Julia Roberts:

• She has to do something to redeem herself for Eat, Pray, Love.

• She got paid $1.5 million to
silently grin for an Italian coffee commercial, and if there is any justice in this world, she should be forced to work 23-hour days on this Snow White shit until she churns out the performance of a goddamned lifetime.

She looks bitchy. There, I said it. I just have a hunch she can pull off the Evil Queen vibe no problem. Producer and Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh agrees with me, since he issued the following statement: ”Julia was our first and only choice to play the Queen. She is an icon, and we know that she will make this role her own in a way that no one else could.”

I'm pretty sure "icon" is Hollywood talk for "bitch." Just saying.

Who would you rather see as Snow White's Evil Queen? Or would you have cast someone else altogether (coughHelenaBonhamCartercough)?
