Now that Live to Dance is almost over, we can say this is certainly not the best of the dancing shows. Looking at Dancing With the Stars and, my fave, So You Think You Can Dance, this show just doesn't live up to the hype. The acts only end up dancing on stage twice, they don't have to go outside of their style, they don't learn anything new, and some of the acts just aren't that great. And can we take a moment to talk about the theme song? The theme song for this show couldn't be worse.
Okay, I'll stop the hate now. I mean, I can't complain too much considering we finally got to enjoy Paula and the weird gibberish she's famous for. Remember when she started the season making fun of herself with a fake gibberish-y sentence? Yeah, I kept expecting her to yell out SIKE!
Now that we've got that out of the way, let's move on to the dancing. America voted for Twitch to get the next spot in the finals, but who'll get the next two?
Dance Town Chaos was good, but I hoped they'd be more attractive. No, who am I kidding? They were awesome.
Jill & Jacob, for some reason I don't understand, chose to dance hip hop. Needless to say, they were not nearly as good as they were the first time around.
Roosevelt Anderson wasn't incredible, so I understood why the judges didn't totally love him, but his style is definitely impressive.
Tap Sounds Underground kept getting better and better as their dance went on, so they're definitely a highlight for me.
Shore Thing ... confused me. I was bored most of the time, so I don't know what the judges were watching.
Kendall Glover, who I always thought was great, pretty much blew me away with her performance.
Thankfully, the judges didn't choose Shore Thing -- they went with Dance Town Chaos -- but I really hope America votes for Kendall. But with the host standing right in front of those bawling Shore Thing children, they're bound to get the sympathy vote.
Next week, the finalists will dance to see who'll win the $500,000. Who do you want to win?
