Celebrities are typically so unnaturally perfect, it's often a jolt when we see them without makeup. We're so used to seeing their faces concealed, polished, and airbrushed that seeing them naked can be a little startling.
Some pull it off and look even better without the makeup. Others ... not so much. While we admire them all for being confident enough to leave their homes with makeup-free faces and find it comforting to know they aren't real-life portraits of perfection, we still can't help but stare. Hilary Duff
Duff isn't looking so good with her face in the buff. If she was heading to the gym, that would be one thing, but here she was photographed heading into Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills. Perhaps she made a stop at the makeup counter?
NeNe Leakes
Girlfriend isn't looking her typical glammed-up self here. We know you have been going through a rough time, NeNe, but no need to look so rough. Find your "fabulosity"!
Jennifer Garner
Why paint your face when you're going to paint pottery with your daughters as Garner is doing here? Her no-nonsense approach to parenting and fashion are refreshing, and she and her flawless skin can pull it off.
Sarah Jessica Parker
Though she's gorgeous no matter what she does, those bags under SJP's eyes certainly wouldn't hurt from a little disguising.
Reese Witherspoon
Strolling about in Germany last week, Reese Witherspoon put a fresh face forward. Perhaps her engagement to Jim Toth has made her confident enough to go makeup-free even when she's not exercising. If nothing else, she looks happy.
Kim Kardashian
It's not that Kim looks bad here. In fact, what's scary is just how much better she looks without all the inches of eyeliner, spider lashes, and thick, cakey makeup. Less is more, Kim!

I don't see anything wrong with any of these ladies, except perhaps unfortunate timing in the taking of the picture (NeNe Leakes - I don't even know who she is, but other than that weird expression on her face, she looks just fine).
All of them look normal and natural.
I prefer the natural look. The only reason it's a shock is because you rarely see these people without make-up. Another reason to not be famous, I don't have to put make up on to please everyone else.
On a side note, I do not now, nor have I ever found Jennifer Garner attractive. I really don't get it when people say she's beautiful. I know it's all personal preference, but I really don't see it.
Hilary Duff looks fine. They all do. Except maybe NeNe but who knows? maybe she was on her way to the gym?
Kim K looks better without makeup..Who knew?
