Stephanie Seymour is one hot mama who can still rock a bikini after three kids, but some recent pictures of her have people buzzing that she's getting too hot ... with her own son, Peter Brandt II, 17. Yes, that dude she's passionately making out with who appears to have his hand on her breast is HER SON.
A little unsettling, no? I mean, if you came upon that scene, wouldn't you think lovers first and mother and son ... never? But shame on you (and me) for even thinking anything inappropriate, Peter says there's a very good reason why it's nothing of the sort.
It's because he's gay. He even released a statement explaining why this makes the pictures okay:
I would just like to say that these pictures have been taken completely out of context, my mother and I are very close as she is with all her children. She often hugs and kisses me and my siblings in an manner that is intimate, any mother in the world does the same. That day on the beach we walked around with each other completely aware of the presence of photographers there. We have nothing to hide and with that in mind I would like to say that I am openly gay. At my age my mother and I are almost like friends and I feel open to talk to her about anything (and yes our relationship may be different because of my sexuality).
I'm not sure what being gay would have to do with it. I'd be more willing to chalk the whole thing up to a bad camera angle or something, but to explain it away with being gay ... doesn't really make any difference. While it's great to see a mother so obviously in love with her son and vice versa and to be able to express that love physically is wonderful, it still doesn't make it any less weird to witness -- gay or not.
What do you think of the pictures of Stephanie Seymour and her son -- weird or perfectly fine for mother and son? Does the fact that he's gay change anything?
