Amber Portwood of MTV's Teen Mom is supposed to be behaving herself now that she's under strict surveillance by the Indiana Department of Child Protective Services. So, it can't be good news that she was pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence.
According to a source close to the situation, here's why police pulled Portwood, 20, over early Wednesday morning:
Amber was swerving all over the road and crossing the yellow line so the police pulled her over thinking she was drunk.
Police gave her all of the field sobriety tests, including a breathalyzer; fortunately, she passed the tests and was cleared of any driving under the influence charges.
But she didn't get off scot-free ...
The cops discovered she was driving on a suspended license. But they let her go with only a $150 ticket because the passenger in the car agreed to drive the rest of the way home (only a few blocks).
The news of Portwood's run-in with the cops comes immediately on the heels of the rumors that she's pregnant for the second time. I'm not going to comment on whether or not it's a good idea for her to have another child, but I will say this: What was she thinking by driving so recklessly?
She's already (temporarily) lost custody of her child, Leah, after being charged with felony domestic violence for physically assaulting her baby daddy, Gary Shirley. Now, Child Protective Services is watching her like a hawk to make sure her living situation is suitable for her daughter.
Isn't this enough motivation to behave?
