Hard-ass to the point of frightening, Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels plans on substituting barbells for bottles. This next season will be her last on the show, as she takes on another adventure: motherhood.
She recently tweeted:
Season 11 of Biggest Loser will be my last :) have to finish out my contract. I want to take a year off TV and focus on becoming a mommy and doing more charity work.
This is a little surprising given that just last April she said that she could never handle doing that to her body. ("That," of course, refers to getting pregnant and ruining her perfect body.)
After receiving quite the backlash from women everywhere who (gasp!) did that to their bodies, she's been tiptoeing around the topic of babies for months. And now that she's recently, very publicly, announced why she's leaving the show, I have to wonder about the reasons she's giving.
True, she's never said that she didn't want to be a mom, and if she decides to adopt or use a surrogate, more power to her. But why make a point in letting everyone know about it? Is she trying to get all of those moms that she pissed off back on her side? I mean, you didn't see Simon Cowell tweeting every other day about his personal reasons for leaving American Idol.
Becoming a mom is a lifelong commitment, so I hope that she's ready. (And I hope that kid is, too. Good god, could you imagine? PICK UP THOSE TOYS! OR DROP AND GIVE ME 50!!!!)
Do you think she's trying to make herself look good? Or is she really serious about being a mother?
