Adam Carolla—radio personality, TV host, comedian, actor, and professional douchebag—has come out with a book called "In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks: . . . And Other Complaints from an Angry Middle-Aged White Guy." If you're currently hovering over the Buy button, tempted by the title alone, consider this: according to the Amazon description, this book "cements his status as a cultural commentator/comedian/complainer extraordinaire."
Gosh, I can barely stop myself from one-clicking it RIGHT NOW.
Carolla recently talked with PopEater about his many conflicting political views, which Carolla describes as a "weird grab bag of whatever makes sense." Want to know what's rattling around in the former Man Show star's brain? Here are a few choice items:
He opposes welfare, despite receiving welfare as a kid.
"I mean, we were poor. I wasn't being abused, but we were on welfare. […] I'm not into the welfare state, I'm not into all those freebie lunch programs. It just kind of demeans people."
He likes smokin' but not shootin'.
"I'd like pot to be legalized and I'm against semi-automatic and automatic weapons."
He doesn't want freebie lunches, but free birth control for kids is cool. No soda, though. Dude, fat chicks are gross.
"I'm all for the morning after pill being distributed to every kid in school and I don't like the idea of Coke and Pepsi being sold at schools when we've got a bunch of fat-a**es there."
He thinks heterosexual parents are preferable to gay parents. You know: it's a nature thing.
"Look, if something happens to me, I'd rather my kids were raised by a heterosexual couple rather than a gay couple, all things being equal. I just believe a mom and dad is better than two dads or two moms. I don't believe this, I just know this. I'm an atheist, it's not a religious thing, it's a nature thing."
He supports racial profiling, but why stop there?
"I'm all for profiling. I'm for profiling and that includes age, gender, height, race and weight."
Yeah, I have to say I'm probably going to pass on this particular think-tank. I like strong opinions, but not when they're coming from the wanker who used to be on Loveline, you know?
What about you, will you be checking out Adam's book?

He's a mediocre radio personality. His whole career goal is to stir things up. If this was from Howard Sterns book would anyone care enough to get riled up about it?
I guess from "Dave's" comment above, he'll be buying the book?? Go back to your Man Cave Dave!
If Howard Stern said the same, yeah, I think people would get riled up as well because, well, some of the things he says are just to get people riled up. He served his purpose.
I don't think I'd even give one thought, never mind a 2nd thought to buy a book written by someone who was on the "Man Show" I have better things to do with my time.
If these comments came from anyone else I would be pissed. But I just can't take this guy seriously.
Wow.... just.... wow... you're a moron.... how does crap like this get published on this site?
I'd spend more time being angry at things people of authority are saying or doing.
I'm surprised Corolla got a book published. I mean maybe I just don't run in the right circles, but I was under the impression his career was in the crapper. I haven't heard anything about this guy in years, since he was on the man show. It seems like this is just this guys desperate attempt to stay relevant and hopefully get back into the public eye.
So. I don't know this Corrolla guy, but let me get this straight... He's a vile, evil human being because
- he is against Welfare, having lived within the system, and experienced how debilitating and demeaning it can be;
- he doesn't want sugar-laden drinks sold in schools (seems to me, I've read that once or twice on this blog);
- he doesn't like guns & is for pot (again, both endorsed here);
- he doesn't want his own kids being raised by a homosexual couple, because he personally believes it's wrong;
- and he believes that profiling is good - you know, if a white guy robs a bank, he wants the cops looking for a white guy, not accosting every male and female they come across. Because that's what "profiling" is - figuring out who did the crime and finding that person, using known physical features of the suspect.
Sounds like a lot of reasonable people that I know. So I guess those people are all evil and vile, as well, huh?
